Hello everyone

I started my musical career studying and playing classical guitar at school, was not for me. Got an acoustic and electric guitar, lessons, grew as a musician, and formed a function duo “Dickens”, Dick and Ken, playing many events and functions.
 

Joined a function band with Sandy and Gordon Wood, playing weddings, open air park events, weekly club dances, lots of other events in north east Scotland. Fabulous time, and learned lots. Played in and lead worship bands over 50+ years, a huge learning curve, and great experience. 

 

Moved from guitar to piano and keyboards, challenging, but productive with great support from others.

 

Have always composed songs or tunes, it is in my blood. But they have become much better as my musical skills and experiences have progressed. Learned lots about effective songwriting, DAWs (especially Logic), and music production techniques and processes.

 

Don’t play live now, too much stress, focus on writing hopefully great lyrics, melodies, harmony, instrumentation, rhythm, style, and songs or instrumental pieces. Produce these from my home studio in Aberdeen.

 

Hope you enjoy some of the music here, it is an eclectic mix from many of my life experiences. Each is a reminder of people, places, events, and times I cherish. I hope you too will see, hear, and experience great memories and hope in these songs.
